"Temptation, tests or both"

Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) hath promised to them that love him. 

James 1:12

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers Proof (temptations) ; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:2-4

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Jesus Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. 

If you be reproached for the name of Jesus Christ, happy are you; for the Spirit of Glory and of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) rest upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) on this behalf. 

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH)? 

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, 

where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of YHVH (YEHOVAH) commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 4:12-19

How surviving the temptation?

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, 

Be you holy; for I am holy. 

Leviticus 20:26

(You are to be holy to me 

because I, the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH), am holy, 

and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own)

And if you call on the Father YHVH (YEHOVAH), who without respect of persons judge according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:  knowing that you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ Jesus, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH), that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH). 

Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH), which lives and abides forever. 

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof fall away: but the word of the Lord endure forever. And this is the word which by the Gospel is Preached unto you.

1 Peter 1:13-25

"Temptation"

Peter said unto Jesus of Nazareth, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Then come Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and said unto the disciples, Sit you here, while I go and pray yonder.  

And Jesus of Nazareth took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 

Then said Jesus of Nazareth unto them, 

"My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: 

stay here, and watch with me. 

And Jesus of Nazareth went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, 

O my Father, 

if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: 

nevertheless not as I will, but as your want.

And Jesus of Nazareth come unto the disciples, and find them asleep, and said unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 

Watch and pray, 

that ye enter not into temptation: 

"the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak".

Jesus of Nazareth went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, 

O my Father, 

if this cup may not pass away from me, 

except I drink it, your will be done. 

And Jesus of Nazareth came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Then come Jesus of Nazareth to his disciples, and said unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
